Walter VanCura

Walter VanCura worked in the engineering and aerospace industries until his interest in human physiology and body systems, coupled with a desire to help people, prompted him to enroll at Stony Brook University to become a physical therapist.

After completing his studies, Walter began treating patients at St. Charles Hospital, where he remained until 2000. He then moved into private practice, seeing pediatric patients in their home environment and treating adults at his office. By 2002, his practice had grown to such an extent that he opened Wading River Physical Therapy, where he continues to offer the excellent care and personalized attention that brings him clients from as far away as Queens.

Jennifer Lucas
Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant

Jennifer obtained her Associates Degree in Applied Science from Suffolk Community College's PTA program in June of 2000. She has over 10 years of orthopedic experience in an out patient setting. Jennifer diligently aims to stay current in the field by making her education in orthopedic injuries, treatments and manual therapy techniques a top priority. She has been with Wading River Physical Therapy for over six years.
